About the Client:

Founded in 1985, AMN Healthcare has a 30 year history of staffing nurses and healthcare employees in the United States. Clients of AMN include acute-care hospitals, government facilities, community health centers and clinics, physician practice groups, and many other healthcare facilities. Over 30 years, AMN has built a team of nearly 1,800 Healthcare Recruiters, and since 2009 AMN has been utilizing VRG’s sourcing and candidate assessment to find qualified candidates to build their growing talent acquisition team.


Challenge: Full Assessment of Executive Level Candidates for AMN Healthcare

With a rapidly growing business, and expansion into RPO services, AMN Healthcare needed to procure fresh talent at a level necessary to fit their new line of business. On their own, AMN did not have resources or time to spare in searching for this rare talent. They had initially set out to find these candidates on their own but found difficulty in sourcing ones that met their new business models specific criteria. With the challenge of finding the right skills and cultural fit for their company, combined with a slim pool of qualified candidates, AMN anticipated a search could take up to a year to find the right fit. Based on the level of candidates needed and the lack of time and resources to devote to a thorough search, AMN turned to VRG for assistance.


Resolution: VRG’s QAI Services

Using VRG as a resource for its hiring needs, AMN chose our white glove approach to sourcing, pre-screening, and assessment of candidates through the QAI level services. Our QAI process includes initial intake of required skills and experiences, identification of candidate profiles or resumes that match required skill sets, then contacting and assessing candidate for level of organizational fit. Through our sourcing, qualifying, and pre-screening techniques we were able to narrow down the pool to top candidates and perform in-depth assessment interviews. Partnering with AMN, the VRG team of client managers and recruitment specialists were expected to run these services once per quarter for one year.
